The following film discusses climate change and the ecological
relationship between man and planet earth. It is both a study and
a commentary with some disturbing and previously hidden facts...

Heat
your own hot water - Evacuated Solar
Tubes

The benefits of
Evacuated Solar Tubes
Evacuated
tubes are amongst the most efficient solar collectors available. These
domestic solar tubes for water heating work all year round,
contributing to your household energy needs.
The latest NEW
twin-glazed thermos flask solar tubes, recovers the heat 'lost' by
other systems, creating the best performing high efficiency solar.
A solar panel
installation is like converting a car into a hybrid running on
LPG. After the initial investment, your car or in this case your
home will run efficiently and cheaply for the 30 years.
From March to
October you may not need to use your boiler and in winter it will
dramatically reduce the need for your boiler to fire up throughout the
day.
Our Evacuated Solar Tubes provide a means to dramatically reducing your
annual hot water bills.
No planning
permission is needed in most cases! |

How our
products
supersede old style solar?
1. This solar
technology includes the patented Low E glass. This uses a special low
iron glass formula which has reduced the reflective properties and
increases the absorbtion.
2. Because the
glass surface is not flat. It has 360 deg absorbtion ability, which
give better performance than all other flat solar panel technologies,
giving a more even output throughout the day.
3. Each solar tube
has twin-skin vacuum filled glazing for better heat retention. Just
like a thermos flask, once the heat is in it becomes trapped.
Frequently
asked Questions
How
exactly do
solar panels work?
When
solar radiation or solar energy hits an object or a solar panel, the
short-wave radiation is converted to long-wave radiation and this
process creates heat.
Why
is it important
to update my hot water tank?
Very
simply, the old style copper hot water tanks run very inefficiently
even when new, but after many years of use limescale will reduce that
even further. When installing solar panels, it is important to install
a modern more efficient tank to get the most out of your solar gain.
"Adding a solar to
an old tank would be like converting your car
to LPG and running
it on semi flat tyres"
How
much will my
system cost?
Contact us and our
solar surveyors will provide you with a tailored quotation.
How
long will it
take you to install my system?
Two or three days
in most cases.
How
long will I be
without water during installation?
Normally only 4 - 5
hours.
Will
you need to
change my hot-water cylinder?
Unless you already
have a solar compatible tank (twin coils) then a tank change will be
necessary.
My
entire heating
system needs replacing, can you help?
Yes, our surveyor
will advise you on up-to-date efficient systems with your solar panels.
How
much CO2 will
my system save?
Around half a tonne
each year. This is dependant on how much hot water you use and how you
heat your water at present.
Do
we get enough
sun in the UK to really make a difference?
Yes.
Both solar tubes and flat panels are designed for the UK climate and
allow the inside of the solar tubes or panels to get very hot
regardless of the outside air temperature.
What
water
temperatures can I expect?
A good proportion
of the year your water will be heated to above 60° C.
Is
there a danger
that the water could get too hot?
No. The system is
designed to never reach above 85°C.
How
do you stop
your system from freezing?
Our
installations use an indirect method of heating your hot water via a
glycol or antifreeze mixture, therefore freezing is not a problem.
What
makes your
collector better than your competitors'?
We
believe our solar tubes and flat panels are the best available because
they have been shown to out perform any of our competitors products.
Our
solar collectors are constructed from high quality materials, are easy
to fit and carry and a 'no quibble quality guarantee' on all of our
products.
Does
my roof have
to face directly south?
South is the
optimum and southeast and southwest are fine. Check your building with
our suitability survey >>
A word
about
quality
There
are some companies who are importing and selling poor quality Chinese
systems in the UK. We have been approached by these companies, but we
refuse to sell sub-standard systems to our customers.
As with anything in
life you get what you pay for,
so a cheap option will undoubtedly will be a false economy where
longevity and performance is concerned.
